What's New (28 July 2025)

Today we have rolled out a few bug fixes, and some new features. This is a significant update for Sensium, introducing Single Sign On and Role Based Users. Also a new reporter for our Connect+ platform, loads of tidy ups and lots more.

General Tidy Ups

  • We have tidied up a lot of fonts/headings to keep consistency through the platform.

  • Added "distance traveled" to Driver Score Board.

  • Driver Score Board now displays score per calendar month and will reset at the beginning of each month

  • Fixed 'sort by'

  • Removed option to not display drivers with not data, and made it behave that way by default

  • Pagination added to pages with lists

  • Fleets page added icon (car) to show if a fleet is a pool vehicle fleet

  • Fleet 'Place' added to fleet list

  • General tidy up of fonts in Fleet list

  • Minor tidy ups/ bug fixes on map page

SMS Alerts

We’ve changed our SMS provider. As a result, all SMS alerts sent from the platform will now come from a new number. This change ensures Sensium remains compliant with evolving regulatory and anti-spam requirements.

New V2 Reporter

We have developed a new reporter for Sensium Connect+. We were previously using the reporter from our V1 platform. This has been built with better technologies, and is a better platform for moving forward on. For more information please contact Sensium.

Updates to Remote Duress Pendant

Added information on pendants GNSS fix when sending duress message, if the Pendant:

  • has not got a valid GNSS fix the status LED flashes yellow for 3 seconds

  • does have valid GNSS fix, the status LED flashes green for 3 seconds

This does not affect the functionality, if the pendant does not have a GNSS fix it will use the location of the vehicle. But, it is good for the user to understand that, and if they are a long way from the vehicle, attempt to allow the pendant to get a fix.

Added Battery low notification:

The red LED will flash one time every 10s when the battery level is less than 10%.

Added Check in report:

Check-in reporting is performed automatically once every 24 hours. This is to update the battery level of the pendant at the platform daily, and make it easier to ensure all pendants are functional.

New Features:

Support for Modern Assets

Modern Assets is a big change in how we store vehicle/asset data in the platform, and was one of the core reasons we build Sensium Connect+. Modern Assets stores the data against the "asset" and not against the "device". This allows devices to be swapped between assets. or removed and replaced, without losing data.

Modern Assets are now fully supported, and will be used for all new assets in the platform.

Alert 'silence' feature

The Remote Duress Pendants send multiple alerts (11 per button press, one minute apart).

Only one 'alert' will be triggered by the platform. Subsequent alerts are 'muted'.

If the alert 'Warning State' is cleared before all alerts are sent, alerts within the next few minutes will not trigger the asst warning state to change.

Updates will however, continue to update the pendants location on the map with every consecutive poll.
