AI-Powered Pool Vehicle Selection
Smarter vehicle allocation. Less friction. Better outcomes.
We have just released AI-Powered Pool Vehicle Selection — the next evolution of Sensium Connect+ designed to remove guesswork from fleet bookings and help organisations get the right vehicle to the right driver every time.
This feature builds on Sensium’s existing Pool Vehicle Booking system and introduces intelligent decision-making based on real operational data, not assumptions.
What problem are we solving?
In many fleets, vehicle bookings rely on:
Manual selection
Familiarity rather than suitability
Inconsistent decision-making
Under-utilised specialist vehicles
Higher operating costs than necessary
As fleets grow, this becomes increasingly difficult to manage — particularly for councils, community transport providers, and organisations with mixed vehicle types.
How AI Pool Vehicle Selection works (at a high level)
Instead of asking users to choose a vehicle, Sensium Connect+ AI will recommend the most suitable vehicle automatically, based on the booking requirements and live fleet data.
The system evaluates factors such as:
Vehicle type and capabilities
Availability and location
Booking duration and distance
Passenger or load requirements
Special equipment (e.g. tow bar, canopy, wheelchair access)
Utilisation history and wear balancing
The result is the best vehicle for the booking is selected — presented clearly to the driver.
