Viewing the Map
The Map is the primary real-time view of your fleet in Sensium Connect+, allowing you to see vehicle locations, status, movement, and historical activity at a glance.
Opening the Map
To access the Map view:
From the Home Screen, select Mapping from the left-hand navigation menu, or
Click the Mapping quick access button from the Home Screen
Once loaded, the map will display all active assets that you have permission to view.
Understanding the Map Layout
1. Map Canvas
Displays the live or last-known location of each asset
Supports standard map controls (zoom, pan, satellite view)
Vehicle icons update automatically as new data arrives
2. Asset List (Right-hand Panel)
Lists all visible assets
Shows status, last update time, driver and location
Clicking an asset will centre it on the map and open detailed information
3. Map Controls
Toggle Map / Satellite views
View Google Street View
Access History, Heatmaps, and Places (if enabled)
Filter assets by name or status

Blue
Vehicle ignition is OFF
Blue with arrow
Ignition OFF, asset is moving (arrow shows heading)
Green
Ignition is ON, vehicle is not moving
Green with arrow
Ignition ON and moving (arrow shows heading)
Grey with spinning white dots
Asset last reported with ignition ON, but no update received for ~15 minutes
Red with arrow
Asset is moving above 100 km/h (arrow shows heading)
Blue square outline
Location sourced from a low-resolution satellite update
Satellite location notes
Satellite low-resolution points arrive in near real time
Low-resolution points are currently generated approximately every 15 minutes
These icons indicate the last known satellite-derived location
Vehicle Details
On the mapping screen, you can access additional asset details by clicking on an asset in the right hand side menu on the mapping screen. This will expand that specific asset, and provide two tabs, and upto two buttons. The tabs are Vehicle Info, and Device Info. The buttons are "History" and "Activity".
Vehicle Info:
Some of the below fields will show as blank or empty, if they have not been filled in through the Asset Details page.
The vehicle info shows the following live data:
IGN - A blue circle for Ignition off, and a green circle for Ignition on.
PTO - A blue circle for PTO off, and a green circle for PTO on.
Make - The make of the asset.
Model - The model of the asset.
Colour - The colour of the asset.
Rego - The registration label of the asset.
ODO: The odometer value for the asset, either the accumulated GPS odo if it has been set at a start distance from the asset details page, or if CAN data is available for odometer it will show the odometer from CANBus.
Ontime: The accumulated ontime, if a start point for OnTime has been set from the asset details page.
Temp: Temperature reading in degrees celsius if the unit is fitted with a temperature sensor.
Notes: The notes as provided in the asset notes field.
If a units most recent data point is from a satellite low resolution point, then the ODO will display as 0 until a more recent high resolution point is available to the platform.
