Driver Score Board

Only available on Professional and Enterprise plans

The Driver Score Card gives an overview of your drivers general driving behaving.

Instead of targeting one off incidents, Sensium's Driver Score Board aims to improve your drivers attitude and behaviour in general. Sensium Connect+ will provide the number of safety related alerts that driver has created, as well as taking into account their smoothness, and safety in general.

The Events, Smoother, and Safer metrics are weighted and balanced to give a final Star rating to each individual driver.

How will improving driver scores benefit the business?

As staff learn to improve their scores, the following trends start to appear: - Safer rating improves - The number of events registered reduces - Driver's tailgate less, in-turn reducing staff stress levels, and improving their general mood and productivity - Excessive wear to the vehicle's brakes and tyres reduces - Saving the company money and reducing CO2 emissions - Fuel economy improves - Saving the company money and reducing CO2 emissions

How can our drivers improve their scores?

The best way for your drivers to improves their scores is for them to focus on smoother driving. The key here is lowering how dramatically they change their speed, and how fast they corner. The less accelerating, braking, and high speed cornering they perform, the smoother of a score can be achieved. The key to this is planning ahead, there's no need to race off as quickly as possible from the lights, to find yourself braking at the next set of lights. Instead, accelerate a slight bit lower, and when you see ahead that you'll need to be stopping, start to lift off the throttle and coast towards the traffic lights. When driving in traffic, especially peak hour traffic, increase the gap to the vehicle in front. When they start to brake, you will need to brake less, and sometimes not at all. The more drivers that can learn the above traits for smoother driving, the smoother and faster in general traffic will flow.
